OUR MISSION
Supporting families with hospital-bound children through providing for their basic needs.
Immeasurable burdens are placed on a family when a child is admitted to the hospital for an extended period of time. Grief, heartbreak, shock, disappointment, sadness, and worry are common ones.
Even though their world may have crumbled around them, the reality of the world the family left behind still remains. The worry and stress from a sick child coupled with continuing bills, sibling care, job retention, and lost wages puts a great amount of stress on the family unit and parents often put their own basic needs aside. Many families need extra support to continue to care and be present for their child
The Glory Girl Foundation's mission is to come alongside these families and provide for these ongoing basic needs. We bring tangible items such as toiletries, blankets, slippers, snacks, bottled water, books, and kids games to the hospital units. We have also provided the families in the unit with ready-to-eat dinners they can enjoy while by the child's bedside. Our passion is to show hope to these families by lightening their burden, one act of love at a time.
OUR VISION
Families will be able to focus on caring for their sick loved-ones while their basic needs have been met and the concerns of daily life outside the hospital have been lifted.
